Choice Willow

Once again this year our playing and training kit is being provided by Hertfordshire based company, Choice Willow. Specialising in quality handcrafted cricket bats, they also offer a wide range of cricket equipment and we developed a good working relationship with the company last season. This is something that will hopefully grow and prosper over the coming years.

If anybody does want a new bat, or any cricket gear talk to either Guess Who or Wayne at training and we will let you know more specifically what the company can offer.

Alright lads, great turnout and training tonight, and thanks to everybody who has paid up their membership fees.

Just a reminder that we would really like everybody to have paid up by this Friday, you can either pay online, by going to the AU Office or by paying us at training on Friday.

AU Bazaar/Membership

The AU Bazaar was a great success with many first years braving the conditions to come and sign up. This bodes well for the year ahead and hopefully we can beat even last years great numbers.

Just a quick reminder, for those of you have not yet signed up, you can go to the AU Office (go up the stairs in the union, turn left and follow the corridor all the way down, the office is on the left) which is open from 9am – 5pm every day. It is £25 to register for the club, which includes your insurance as well as your club membership for the whole year.

Also, when you first come to training if you haven’t already registered as a member of the Sports and Fitness Centre you must do this. It is only £19 for the whole year, and contrary to what some people were told at the AU Bazaar you do not need to pay £3 every time you train!

I know it sounds like we are asking for a lot of money now, but apart from this we really don’t ask for much more throughout the year, and when you consider that we have some of the lowest match fees in the Athletic Union, train all year and offer specialist coaching £44 is great value!

Hope to see you all there next Tuesday.

Training

Training will begin on Tuesday 7th October in the Sports Hall. Bring your kit and be there prompt for 5.30 as we need to have as much time in the nets as possible. We will all be going to Sanctuary afterwards for a drink so feel free to join us!

Minibus

If anyone is 21 or over with three or more years of driving experience, let me know as we would like you to take the University minibus course, it is free and could save the club lots of cash come the season.

Sign up now!

This year, it is possible to sign up to be a member of HUCC online.

Simply go to http://www.hullstudent.com/membership/, log in and follow the links. This will save a lot of hassle on what will more than likely be a busy (and hungover) AU Bazaar day. If you don't know your password, or have never logged in before simply use the appropiate links.

Prices

It's a one off payment of £19 to sign up for the Sports and Fitness centre, which is compulsory for insurance purposes. To sign up for the club it is £25. The membership fee has gone up this year, but you are still getting great value for money, and more importantly the club will be able to use the extra few quid to great effect!
